CRISPY SRIRACHA TOFU

Ingredients

1 block (420g) firm tofu

1 tsp olive oil

2 Tbsp soy sauce

1.5 Tbsp sriracha

1 tsp garlic powder


Directions

1.      Preheat oven to 425°F.


2.      Slice your tofu into 1″ x 1″ squares.


3.      Press the tofu to remove moisture. Place a cloth towel or paper towels on top of a flat cutting board, then lay tofu pieces on top. Lay another towel on top of the tofu. Place a flat heavy object (such as a casserole dish, book, or cast-iron skillet) on top of tofu to press out the moisture. Let this sit for about 20 minutes.


4.      Once pressed, add the tofu to your mixing bowl and add the olive oil, sriracha, soy sauce and garlic powder. Gently mix to combine.


5.      Spread evenly on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 10 minutes.


6.      After 10 minutes, remove your baking sheet from the oven and flip each piece of tofu.


7.      Bake for another 10-12 minutes, until tofu is crispy on the outside, and remove from the oven.
